Though Berluda Farmhouse & Cottages has been in the Schoeman family’s care for many generations, it has never stopped our current generation, Piet & Laura Schoeman, from being innovative creative in their agri- & eco-tourism philosophy.
Apart from introducing 8 self-catering units to Berluda Farmhouse from 2007 onwards and starting the ever popular Ostrich Farm Tours, the Sunset Game Drives and the Meerkat Encounter Tours, Berluda is now launching our brand new corporate identity.
“The previous corporate identity has been great in establishing Berluda as a care-driven hospitality establishment. Care is always something that we will value. However, a new identity that incorporates that we have evolved as a tourism business in Oudtshoorn, would be more representative of what we have been up to in the past 12 years and where we are headed for the future.” says Laura.
The new identity has a handwritten “B” as icon with a graceful loop that ends with a small hanging apricot. Berluda gets its name from an apricot variety that was grown here and has been re-established on the property by Piet & Laura. The handwritten “B” symbolises customization and our hand-made hospitality that we offer their guest. The loop at the bottom of the “B” symbolises the spectrum of services that we now offer visitors to Oudtshoorn:
Accommodation (Self-catering & half-board)
Game Drives
Ostrich farm tours
Meerkat Tours
Social & Community involvement (Vreugdevoetjies Pre-School)
With the recent appointment of a new chef, renovations of all the bathrooms in the farmhouse and our new corporate identity, it certainly is worthwhile to pay Berluda a visit during your next stay in Oudtshoorn and travels through the Klein Karoo and Garden Route.
