Here at Berluda, we strive to improve the quality of our products continuously. Since we renovated the farmhouse in 2008, it has been 10 years that passed. We knew that the time has come for another upgrade.
So we set out on this adventure in February 2018. With the help of interior designer, Charmaine du Plessis from Furntex, and her wonderful team, we attempted this project. We wanted to keep the French Victorian interior that Berluda became known for, but wanted to incorporate elements of the Karoo. And it needed a modern twist. This is where Charmaine came in. With her years of experience in textiles, as well as the furniture trade, we started working on our new rooms. It was a project that brought both Charmaine, and owner Laura Schoeman, great pleasure. They thoroughly enjoyed planning the new fresh look. Books and books of colourful textiles, wallpaper, baskets, and furniture, were worked through.
So the installation team moved in with the lorry loaded with new headboards, curtains, scatter cushions, plants and wallpaper, and started transforming our tired looking rooms. And here are the results at last!
We look forward to welcoming all our guests, both first time and returning ones, to experience these lovely rooms and enjoy them hopefully as much as we do!
