HANDMADE……….
Since forever, us women think that we have to become like someone else, or be someone else in order to be
accepted or approved. Sometimes we don’t like ourselves very much, especially if we have been criticised about
not being good enough, pretty enough, talented enough.
So which traits are we most regularly rehearsing in our heads? More so, how do we respond when we strike out
in the ninth inning, or feel the rain start to fall down on our picnic? I can tell you this: people who make angry
excuses, and wring their hands with worry do not suddenly turn around and laugh in the face of death.
But to become who God created us to be is not a TASK for the faint hearted. To get back to the original, TO BE
the original, our own unique original. We MUST remove the fears, barriers, the limiting beliefs, that we so easily
erect and that prevent us from being fully ourselves.
There’s a passage in the bible that says, “We are God’s original workmanship.” (Eph. 2:10)
Translation 101; “We are God’s WORK OF ART. God’s MASTERPIECE.” So why should we ever put ourselves
down or for that matter any other woman as well? When resting in God’s promises frees us to weep as those
who have hope and to laugh whenever He brings comic relief.
Suffering in itself is hard. Why make life a comparison game?
Just sometimes, to make room for laughter we must first empty ourselves of tears. And then with God’s help
AND our own, we can become whole AGAIN. BE that unique SELF that GOD CREATED US WOMAN TO BE.
HAPPY WOMAN’S DAY TO ALL THE STRONG WOMAN OUT THERE!
MAY WE KNOW THEM, MAY WE BE THEM AND MOST OF ALL MAY WE RAISE THEM.
